About our Transport Initiative

Transport is vital for the mobility and well-being of staff, children, and members of the Fairhills Association (DTK Fairtrade Initiative). So, having a transport service in place is crucial to the success of our Fairtrade programme. Currently, Du Toitskloof Fairtrade Initiative has two mini busses enabling easy transport solutions for our Fairtrade programme. Here’s a closer look at how our transport initiative positively impacts our community.

Supporting Fairhills Association Staff

Reliable transport ensures that Fairhills Association staff can travel to and from work efficiently and safely. It allows our staff to reach various locations where they provide essential services, such as daycare centres, educational programmes and other community initiatives.

Facilitating Children’s Access to Education

Transport is also instrumental in transporting children to and from daycare centres, schools, and after-school programmes provided by the Fairhills Association. This initiative guarantees that children can access quality education, care, and support. By addressing the importance of transport, the initiative enhances educational and after-school care opportunities for all children involved.

Empowering Community Engagement

For members of the Fairhills Association, transport serves multiple purposes. It enables them to attend meetings, workshops, training sessions, and community events organised by the association. By ensuring access to transportation, the initiative fosters active participation and engagement within the community, empowering individuals to contribute and connect with one another.

The Du Toitskloof Fairtrade Initiative’s transport initiative is a key element in promoting mobility, educational access, and community engagement, ultimately enhancing the overall well-being of those it serves. We hope to, in the future, bring even more transport solutions to the programme, in the hopes to assist more projects and reach more people.
