2Blossom Foundation: An Art Programme for our Community

The 2Blossom Foundation

In August of 2021, the 2Blossom Foundation, in collaboration with Du Toitskloof Fairtrade Initiative, introduced an after-school arts and crafts project to our farming community. Based at Lorraine NGK Primary School, this project currently focusses on providing a safe space where youths from the community can grow in their creativity and craftsmanship.

Activity During this Period

In 2022, the centre opened shortly after the start of the new school year, and is already almost at full capacity. Since its initiation in August last year, the project has worked with over 60 learners ranging from Grade 3 to 7. Until now their activities included sketching, painting, collage art, photography and even dance classes.

The children’s eagerness to engage in creative projects and learn more about the world around them has us, at Du Toitskloof Fairtrade Initiative, extremely excited.

Watch this space, because we have artists in the making.
