A Generous Donation to Lorraine NGK Primary

Wednesday, 25 January, the teachers at Lorraine NGK Primary School hosted a special event to thank PSA (Public Servants Association of South Africa), Apple Graphics and Old Mutual for their generous donation to the school and children.

PSA blessed our local primary school with a wonderful donation: Brand new stationery, a whiteboard easel, a generator, a gas stove with an oven, school signage, and notice boards were all donated to the school.

The school also took this opportunity to thank Apple Graphics for sponsoring each child with their own pencil pouch. As well as to thank Old Mutual for giving each child a care package with toiletries to take home.

To show their gratitude, the school’s choir - lead by Deputy Principal Mr. Cuttings - performed several songs, while the foundation phase delivered a few dance items.

The school invited dedicated community members to share in this event. Speakers and visitors included Aileen Mosetic (Acting Provincial Manager of PSA), Brendon Jacobs (Organising and Marketing Officer at PSA), Ald. Antoinette Steyn (Executive Mayor of the Breede Valley municipality), Cllr. Megann Goedemann (Ward 19 councillor) and Mr Sammy Goedeman (former ward councillor).

SAPS also made an appearance. They were represented by the officers, Ms. Hurling-Jordaan and Mr. Jimmy van Zyl, who spoke to the children about child safety.

We are grateful to everyone who made a donation and appearance on the day. It is the commitment and care from these people who are helping us make a difference in the lives of our children, every single day.
