Our Mobile Library is on the Road

If you have driven through the Breedekloof Valley in the past few weeks, you might have noticed our beautiful book bus on the road. The Du Toitskloof Fairtrade Initiative’s mobile library, which also serves as a media centre, has been serviced and is visiting our local primary schools again.

Children standing at a large truck, that serves as a mobile library.

The mobile library is a large truck, designed to use as a library for our children. The goal is to make books and reading more accessible to the youngsters of our rural communities.

In addition, our mobile library is also equipped with 20 computers with access to the internet. High school learners and their parents can use these computers for CVs, research, school tasks, and more.

Our mobile library currently visits the following schools; Lorraine NGK, Bet-El, Weltevrede, Wysersdrift, Petra Gedenk, Breërivier, Goudini Bad and Aan de Doorns.
